Hi, my name is Jackie Galligan. I’m originally from El Salvador. I have been living in Alexandria for the last 12 years. Prior to moving to Alexandria, I lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico where I met my husband. Sean and I are the proud parents of three active girls: Isabella 8, Dani 4, and Ella 2. Dani and Ella are currently enrolled at BLPS.
I’m excited to join the BLPS team as a lead teacher of the Mom’s Day Out program. As a mother I know how important it is to have some time to take a break, recharge, or just reconnect with a friend. I’ve been involved in leading children’s programs through churches for fifteen years.
I am excited to lead this program at BLPS. In the past I have been a part on many exciting, enriching, educational programs. This will be a great opportunity to give you the time you deserve while giving you peace that your children will be involved in new experiences and preparing for school.
My name is Rachel Penland, and I am so excited to be joining Mom’s Day Out! I have a special needs six year old daughter, Valerie, so I know the level of care that is wanted and expected when sending your child to school.
For most of the kids in this age group, it is their first time in any sort of classroom setting. It is the best feeling to watch them settle in and get excited about coming back! I hope to have a fun year, and indulge in lots of exciting activities and crafts!
