Teaching 3’s and 4’s is my absolute favorite. At this age, learning means exploring, imagining, creating, and moving! There’s nothing more inspiring than seeing the excitement in a child’s eyes as they master new skills and explore the world around them. Being a teacher allows me the honor and responsibility to foster a love of learning and friendship in our classroom. I can’t wait to get started!
I have a degree from Pennsylvania State University in Human Development and Family Studies. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to teach in 3 different classrooms, all with combined ages of 3,4, and 5-year-olds. I’ve also acted as a home visitor, taking the learning environment to the home to work with children and their parents.
I am a small-town girl in the big city. When I'm not at BLPS, I love going on adventures with my husband, two young children, and our Labrador Retriever. We love to travel, search out delicious food, hike, explore new towns, and spend time with our very large families.
Ms. Brenda has been at Bethany for two years--first as a substitute and, last year, as the teaching assistant in the 2s class. She has 8 + years of being a preschool teacher. She has taught Sunday school, worked in a nursery, and has been a VBS director.
She loves to watch the chidren play and see their achievements. She enjoys watching their "wheels turn". Ms. Brenda believes the most important thing is to encourage friendship and to help them see the importance of sharing and doing what is right.
Ms. Brenda is the mother of three kids. When she's not at BLPS, she enjoys painting with oils, landscaping, and working with children. She also enjoys attending her own children's activities and supporting them.
Ms. Brenda wants the children to know Jesus said, Let the children come to me...". Your children are special and are to be loved. Love is shared here at Bethany.
